Air strike kills five terrorists setting roadside IED

Sunday, 22 October 2006

BAGHDAD, Iraq — An air strike early Sunday morning
killed five terrorists and wounded one as they emplaced an IED on a
road near Arab Jabour.
Coalition Forces observed a group of
terrorists digging a hole in a road on the outskirts of Arab Jabour
while one individual stood watch.  As the terrorists placed an IED in
the hole, Coalition aircraft engaged the group with precision fires
causing the bomb to detonate.
Ground forces transported the wounded terrorist to a nearby medical facility.
Coalition Forces conducted this operation after careful and deliberate analysis to mitigate collateral damage.

(note from Pa:  I can't help but marvel at the thought the Terrorist's couldn't foresee the possibility they were being watched by someone from above, other than Alla.  The US is really sneaky...hee hee)
